Happy International Women’s Day! As a woman in technology, leaders always strive to support women in obtaining additional employment opportunities and succeeding in their positions. Recognizing the difficulties women encounter and tackling the gender inequality gap are assisting the IT sector in eradicating biases and resulting in more women thriving in leadership positions, ultimately resulting in gender equality in the male-dominated tech sector.

In this article, we have interacted with many tech leaders to understand how they are helping women techies break the barriers and helping them to face the challenges in the STEM field.

Mani Prasanna Tallapragada, Digital Services & Modernization Capability Lead, DXC Technology, said, “Today’s women dream, translate dreams into goals, transform themselves and win, be it return to work, taking on new roles or in their personal lives. However, women abandon their careers at a higher rate than men, perhaps juggling career and family priorities. Simply put, much more work needs to be done if we are to close the gender gap and increase the participation of women across the board. Let us encourage their aspirations through skill development, flexibility, and mobility. On this International Women’s Day let us stand tall and be the inspiration.”

Punitha Anthony, Sr. Director – HR, Movate, said, “Respect is one of the core values at Movate, we are fiercely committed to diversity and have consciously built an environment of trust and inclusivity that treats every employee equally and makes them feel valued. We focus on creating a diverse talent pool during our hiring process and have a strong career aspiration management program in place, where we upskill/cross-skill/reskill our talent on new-age technologies with innovation and agility as the focal areas. A strong social career navigation system with powerful tools and platforms enable us to enhance our employees’ skills and competencies, thereby creating an environment that thrives on meritocracy and passion.”
