Roles and Responsibilities:
Cloud engineer:
- Proficient on AWS & Azure Cloud technologies
- Hands-on experience on AWS services like EC2, ELB, EBS, IAM, RDS, AppStream, VPC, VPN and so on.
- Hands-on experience on Azure services like VM, VNet, Route 53, Traffic Manager and so on
- Managing Logs, Events & Alarms using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SNS, SES and so on
- Managing & Auditing events with Azure EventHub, Monitor, Security Centre and so on
- Integrating Cloud services with other on-prem services
- Managing Cloud environment and debugging activities
- Evaluating existing systems to identify any vulnerabilities that could jeopardize cloud security
- Modifying and enhancement of current systems
- Reviewing existing systems regularly and offering recommendations for enhancements
- Optimizing Cloud cost using the tools recommended by the Cloud providers
- Budgeting, configuring cost threshold alerts
- Provide recommendations with respect to security, cost & various Cloud resources
- Providing access to users, groups & managing roles
- Integrating Cloud environments with single sign-on systems
- Managing Domains & its related DNS configurations
Wintel and Linux Infra support:
- Good understanding of Windows and Linux Operating System & Administration
- Management of Packages using various methods
- Bulk patching of Linux servers using deployment tools like RH Satellite
- Support & Troubleshoot issues
- Good knowledge of Web servers (Apache, Nginx), Application servers (Wildfly, JBoss), Database (MySQL, MariaDB)
- Monitoring of Linux servers using tools like Zabbix
- Familiarity with load balancing, firewalls, etc.
- Proficient with network tools such as iptables, HAProxy, etc
- Familiarity with the fundamentals of Linux scripting languages
- Knowledge on tools like Zabbix, NXLog will be added advantage
- Build Linux systems from scratch – both Onprem & Cloud
- Disk management with LVM
- Good understanding of Active Directory/ Azure AD, DNS, DHCP
- Server patching
- Endpoint antimalware product.
