Role Summary

  • Lead the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance web applications leveraging Angular, Node.js, and RESTful APIs
  • Drive technical excellence across frontend and middleware layers, ensuring quality, security, and reliability at every stage of the software development lifecycle
  • Serve as a key technical decision-maker, guiding cross-functional engineering teams through architecture planning, code optimization, and large-scale refactoring initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, enterprise-grade solutions
  • Champion engineering best practices including CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, unit testing, and coding standards across large codebases

Roles & Responsibilities

Design & Development

  • Architect and develop scalable frontend and middleware solutions using Angular, Node.js, and Express frameworks
  • Design, implement, and optimize RESTful APIs to support high-traffic, data-intensive web applications
  • Build responsive, performant, and accessible web applications using JavaScript/ES6, TypeScript, and modern JS frameworks
  • Develop and optimize complex database schemas, stored procedures, triggers, and SQL queries using MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Design software components with a strong focus on scalability, performance, security, and reliability

Technical Leadership

  • Lead and mentor development teams through large-scale refactoring exercises and continuous improvement of coding standards
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain code quality, consistency, and compliance with enterprise standards
  • Define and enforce software engineering best practices across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption of tools and frameworks that enhance team productivity and product quality

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work collaboratively with product owners, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Communicate technical decisions, risks, and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog grooming, technical discussions, and architectural reviews

Quality & DevOps

  • Implement and promote a unit-test driven development approach across the team
  • Oversee continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes to ensure reliable and frequent software releases
  • Ensure source control management discipline using industry-standard version control practices
  • Monitor and address application performance, reliability, and security across production environments

Required Skills

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Angular (primary frontend framework) and JavaScript/ES6, TypeScript
  • Strong expertise in Node.js and Express for middleware development
  • In-depth knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation
  • Hands-on experience with RDBMS – MySQL and/or PostgreSQL (schema design, complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers)
  • Experience building responsive, high-performing, heavy-traffic web applications
