Elixir Lead

Location: Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad (Work fromOffice)

Role Summary:

As an Elixir Lead, you will lead a team of developers andbe responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining userexperience-focused e-commerce features and systems. You will also collaboratewith designers, frontend developers, stakeholders, and clients to understandbusiness goals, analyze requirements, formulate solutions, and ensure thesuccessful execution and delivery of the end product.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Builds,designs, and maintains all websites and software applications.

Regulatesexposure to business stakeholders and executive management as well as otherauthorities.

Designs,writes, and edits website content.

UnderstandsUI, cross-browser compatibility, and general web functions and standards.

Createssolutions for identified problems or bugs.

Communicateswith colleagues, managers, and stakeholders daily.

Executesassignments with the use of web applications, scripts, and programminglanguages such as; Elixir, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.

Developsand validates test routines to ensure the quality of the external and internalinterface.

Plansand delivers software platforms and products across multiple organizationalunits.

Designsassignments with web services like REST, SOAP, etc.

Evaluateswritten code to ensure it meets industry standards and is compatible with alldevices.

Maintainsa professional understanding of web development by tracking trends andparticipating in study groups.

Accomplishescompany goals by accepting ownership of new and different requests.

Preferred Experience:

• 8+ years of overall software development experience

• Elixir (3 Years); Ecto, Phoenix Framework mainlyLiveView

·  5+years of professional experience in full stack software development pertainingto Websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

·  Experienceworking with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL)

·  Solidunderstanding of OTP

·  Workingknowledge of source control software such as Git.

·  Exposureto Agile methodologies

·  Experiencewith UX and workflow design

·  Effectiveat implementing acceptance criteria requirements

·  Experiencewith projects at enterprise scale and with global teams

·  E-commerceexperience

·  Exposureto common development tools (Gulp, Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc)

·  Experiencewith versioning tools (Git, Bitbucket, Github), provisioning tools (Jenkins,Docker), and AWS tools (EC2, S3, etc)

·  Exposureto Agile methodologies

·  Abilityto multi-task and manage tasks with varying priorities

·  Abilityto work independently with minimal supervision

·  Abilityto communicate with colleagues, managers, and stakeholders daily.

·  Youare passionate about writing clean, modern, maintainable, &highly-performant code

·  Youhave the pro-active ability and a self-starter attitude to troubleshoot andsolve problems

·  Youhave a positive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach 

·  Youhave experience working in an Agile team and using Jira 

·  Youhave strong communication skills with excellent interpersonal effectiveness, inone-on-one interactions and presenting to a room
